This page covers both the terms of use for powerbeyondpride.com and how the site handles your information. It describes what this site actually does, which is not very much — it is a static website that publishes a podcast.

Terms and Conditions

Who we are

Power Beyond Pride is a weekly podcast about queer changemaking, produced as a community initiative of A Great Idea, an LGBTQ+-owned brand communications agency. This site is where the episodes live.

Using this site

You are welcome to read, listen, link to and share anything here. There is no account to create and nothing to buy.

Please do not attempt to disrupt the site or the services it depends on, use it to break the law, or scrape it in a way that degrades it for other people.

Our content

Episode audio, artwork, show notes and written content are owned by A Great Idea or by the people who created them, and are protected by copyright. You may quote and link to them with attribution. Republishing episodes in full, or reusing content commercially, needs our permission first.

Guests speak for themselves. Views expressed by guests and co-hosts are their own and are not necessarily those of A Great Idea.

Things we link to and embed

Episodes are distributed through Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube, Amazon Music and iHeartRadio, and some episode pages embed a video from YouTube. Those services have their own terms and privacy policies, and we do not control them.

Accuracy

Episodes are conversations, published as recorded. They are not legal, medical, financial or professional advice, and information can date. We correct significant errors when we find them, but we do not guarantee that everything here is complete or current.

Availability

We try to keep the site up, but we do not promise uninterrupted access. We may change, move or remove content, including retiring episodes, without notice.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, A Great Idea is not liable for any loss arising from your use of this site or reliance on its content. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and continued use of the site means you accept the current version.

Privacy Policy

The short version

This site sets no cookies, has no logins, sells nothing, and does not track you across the internet. The only personal information we hold is what you type into one of our two forms, if you choose to use them.

Information you give us

There are two forms on this site:

• The guest application asks for your name, email address and a description of what you are working on.
• The sponsorship enquiry asks for your name, organization, email address and what you are hoping for.

Submitting either sends that information to us by email, so we can reply. We use it to respond to you and for nothing else. We do not sell it, and we do not add you to a mailing list without asking.

The email is delivered through Resend, an email service that processes the message on our behalf. Submissions arrive in an ordinary inbox and are kept while they are useful — typically as long as the conversation is live, and no more than two years afterwards.

Information collected automatically

We use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights to see roughly how many people visit and which pages they read. These are cookieless: they set nothing on your device, do not create a profile of you, and cannot follow you to other sites. We see aggregate counts, not individuals.

We do not use Google Analytics, advertising trackers or social media pixels.

Our host, Vercel, keeps short-term server logs as part of running the service, as any web host does.

Audio and video

Episode audio is served by Zencastr, and some episode pages embed a video player from YouTube. Playing audio or video means contacting those services directly, and they may collect data under their own policies. YouTube embeds use the youtube-nocookie.com domain, which reduces what YouTube stores until you press play.

Children

This site is not aimed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask us to delete it. Email info@powerbeyondpride.com and we will act on it. Since the only records we hold are form submissions, this is usually straightforward.

Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under laws such as the UK GDPR, the EU GDPR or the CCPA. We will honour those requests regardless of where you are.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top will change with it.
