Sexual Freedom, Queer Art, and Authenticity with Jake Jaxson

What happens when sexuality moves beyond performance and becomes an expression of art, connection, and personal freedom? Jake Jaxson, award-winning filmmaker and CEO of Cocky Boys, joins Power Beyond Pride cohosts Kenyon Farrow and Mattie Bynum to discuss nearly two decades of challenging expectations around gay adult entertainment and queer storytelling. Jake opens up about his journey from growing up with deeply rooted shame to creating films that celebrate personality, chemistry, individuality, and authentic intimacy. Kenyon and Mattie explore the complicated relationship between sexual freedom and community judgment, the difference between legitimate concerns and censorship, and why consent, kindness, and communication should be central to conversations about sexuality. This episode challenges listeners to reconsider what intimacy looks like, embrace their own desires without shame, and recognize that there is no single right way to experience or express sexuality.
